Our Solar Hot Water Tanks
Modern Solar only uses vitreous enamel lined solar hot water tanks. The inside of each tank is coated with a silica glass layer to prevent corrosion. 2 sacrificial anodes are added inside each tank to further reduce the potential of corrosion of the tank. The anodes are made of magnesium metal which will corrode preferentially to the tank if needed.
Modern uses a special electric booster made out of high durability INCOLOY material which is used to heat the water to 60°C if there is not enough sunlight. Our booster systems are located halfway up the tank, so that you need only heat the water you are about to use.
All Modern solar hot water tanks are equipped with safety valves which carry a 5 year warranty for additional peace of mind.
- Modern Solar offer 3 tank sizes:
- 250L water tank only required for some solar hot water systems
- 300L water tank for a small household (1-2 people)
- 400L water tank for larger households (3-6 people)
