Renewable Energy Certificate (REC)
Renewable Energy Certificates, or RECs, are a form of electronic currency which is generated when you purchase a renewable energy system, such as solar hot water systems or solar panels. RECs can be seen as a measure of the efficiency of a solar hot water system & its ability to generate free hot water using the sun's heat.
The practical upshot of all this is that renewable energy certificates have a dollar value determined by the market at any given time.
All Modern Solar products qualify for RECs which can reduce the cost of a Modern Solar product by up to $1,500 depending on the area you live and the model purchased.
